http://www.700west.com/ My first record label
back in the late 70's. 700 West was in business from 1972 through
1982 and Moe Whittemore, the engineer and label owner was and
is a creative genius! There was a lot of really cool stuff released
on this label, and now you can hear some of it for yourself. "The
Best of 700 West - Volume One" is now available at the 700
West site. There are 23 cuts on this baby and the range of styles
is incredible. Moe recorded everything from funk to power trios
to big bands to bluegrass to horn bands to bluesy rock to gospel
to country to folk and everything in between. A very enjoyable
listening experience! (Oh, by the way, did I mention that one
of my cuts made the album??)

J.
Michael was a big inspiration to me "back in the day"
and is now a good friend. A great performer, musician and writer,
his album "To Make The Night Complete" is still one
of my all time favorites and is now available on cd at his website.
If you are in L.A., check out his itinerary and plan to catch
one of his performances. Also be on the lookout for his soon to
be re-released (on cd) second album, "Nite People".
You won't be disappointed.

http://www.groupeffort.com My favorite recording
studio. Group Effort is a state of the art recording facility
in the greater Cincinnati area (Erlanger, Kentucky). Friendly,
experienced, professional staff, reasonable rates, great mic selection,
two recording rooms...check out their website for more info.

My
good friend Gregg Hall is one of the finest guitar techs in the
business. He is more than just a craftsman...he is an artist.
I've known Gregg since we taught guitar together back in the 70's
(we were both VERY young!). He is an authorized service provider
for Taylor, Fender, Gibson, Martin and a host of others. His clients
include a long list of famous pickers from all around the country.
You would recognize their names and if Gregg wasn't so modest,
I'd tell you about them. At any rate, for anything from minor
repairs to complete restorations, I highly recommend him.
